GHA and QAI have initiated a joint accreditation program for hospitals and clinics in India serving medical travel patients. GHA and QAI will work with accredited hospitals in India as a prerequisite to offering Global Healthcare Accreditation for Medical Travel Services in the region. The accreditation may be from a recognized national or international accreditation body, such as QAI and JCI. The GHA accreditation survey will include a surveyor from each organization using the GHA standards. QAI will also serve as GHA’s local partner in India, conducting joint training, workshops and advisory services and providing information about GHA accreditation and related programs developed to build patient trust in hospitals serving international and medical tourism patients.
Located in India, QAI was founded in order to create an ecosystem of education, training, quality improvement and accreditation. QAI seeks to provide a platform to stakeholders including professionals and organizations, associated with quality, to share their wisdom and knowledge. This will further provide tremendous opportunities to all concerned to learn and contribute in improving organizations engaged with QAI.

The Malaysian Society for Quality in Health was established in 1997 with the vision of advocating, promoting, and supporting continuous quality improvements and safety in Malaysian healthcare arena. In order to realize this vision, MSQH develops standards, plans and implements accreditation programs, promotes safety and quality improvement in healthcare facilities, and organizes opportunities for communication of ideas and exchange of experiences on current and best practices in health care. MSQH has also initiated the Patient for Patients Safety Movement to strengthen patients and family engagement in the delivery of healthcare services since 2014.
