To be eligible for GHA WellHotel® Accreditation, the hotel or resort must meet the Foundational Requirements.
An online application will be completed by the facility upon the decision to move forward with the accreditation process and payment will be taken to continue.
The hotel or resort will receive access to a secure web portal that includes the accreditation handbook and instructions for proceeding with the accreditation.
Hotel management and staff will have access to an instructional video on how to implement the program elements.
The facility will submit requested documentation for review by the GHA WellHotel® Accreditation Compliance Team.
To achieve GHAWellHotel® Accreditation, the hotel or resort should provide evidence that it complies with recognized industry-wide hotel cleaning and sanitation standards.
The facility becomes officially accredited and receives the official seal and certificate.
The GHA WellHotel® Accreditation Program for hotels serving medical travel/tourism guests is based on 18 elements. This Implementation Guidance document is structured in a manner where specific requirements which are referred to as the “18 elements” are stated in a frame-box with the guidance and interpretation beneath.
