Inaugural Certified Medical Travel Professional (CMTP) Workshop in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The Global Healthcare Accreditation (GHA) Program for Medical Travel Services recently acquired oversight of the Certified Medical Travel Professional (CMTP) Program.  CMTP is a training program and certification that provides participants with a comprehensive overview of the medical tourism industry, latest trends, key stakeholders, best practices and business models. It consists of ten modules presented live or online by an expert trainer or trainers, supported by slides, multimedia and online continuing educational resources.

GHA has partnered with Faturhelp Saúde ltda, led by Dr. Graccho Alvim, Director of Cultural Events, Hospital Association of Rio de Janeiro and Cornelius Conboy, Financial Director, Society of Health and Wellness Tourism, to begin presenting the CMTP course to Brazilian professionals seeking to improve their knowledge and skills in the medical travel industry. The inaugural workshop will be held on September 23rd, 2019 at the central headquarters of the Hospital Association of Rio de Janeiro. The first workshop will be presented by Mr. Bill Cook, GHA’s Director of Business Development & Marketing and Mr. Stephen Shearer, GHA Surveyor and Consultant. Additional CMTP workshops will be scheduled later this year in Rio and possibly in Bangkok, Thailand.
