GHA Accreditation for Medical Travel

GHA Accreditation for Medical Travel is for hospitals and ambulatory centers that seek to enhance patient experience and elevate the performance of their medical travel program through the implementation and validation of international best practices as advocated by GHA.

GHA Accreditation complements existing national and international clinical accreditation programs. While these programs traditionally focus on the quality and patient safety aspects of care for the entire organization, GHA conducts an in-depth review of the organization’s medical travel program to enhance the Patient Experience, Sustainable Business Processes and Patient-Focused Clinical Processes. Thus, our standards are specific to medical travel and not redundant to clinical accreditations.

GHA’s Standards 4.1 and 5.0 for Medical Travel have been accredited by The International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua EEA), widely recognized as the “accreditor of accreditors” and the reference point for international healthcare accrediting bodies seeking an external validation of their standards.

The objective of the GHA accreditation process is to effectively and efficiently position healthcare providers to attract and serve medical travel patients, thus improving not only clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction, but also to positively impact an organizations’ business performance.
